My journey began over 10 years ago when I decided to start my own business import building products into the Australian market. I originally came from a science background and worked in a family run business importing other commodities. As the years went by I found myself upgrading my skills and knowledge, my number one concern was in purchasing products of high quality, performance and conformance. It was obvious even back then that safety and conformance issues were high on my agenda.
My first five years were spent self inspecting manufacturers and suppliers abroad. I found early on that there were a number of challenges and complexities related to building products including the length of the supply network, the facilities and the product being purchased.
Although there were numerous challenges, it was my responsibility for ensuring a high level of quality and performance in the product being purchased for clients. I developed a passion for the industry and was never deterred from turning every outcome into a positive.
February 2019: I filed my first patent: System and Method for identifying, analysing and managing risks found in procured or purchased products. The invention relates to: Global supply Chains and quality assurances. Oceana144.

When we look at the number of materials which go into one building it’s overwhelming. There are different products and materials with alternative choices, which are almost endless including options of purchasing locally or internationally. We occupy these buildings; we work and live in them. Safety should be a priority.
In 2013 FC2Y exhibited at Project Lebanon Beirut for the first time internationally giving us a global presence and expanding our capabilities with exhibitors and visitors from across Europe, Middle East and Asia.
